Disease Explanation

Anemia is a condition of lack of healthy red blood cells to carry oxygen to the tissues of your body. This can happen if your body doesn''t make enough red blood cells, destroys them too often, or loses them through bleeding. Anemia can occur due to iron deficiency, vitamin deficiencies, or certain medical conditions. Iron deficiency is a condition where your body doesn''t get enough vitamins or minerals which is required for it to function properly. This can happen either because your diet doesn’t contain enough nutrients or due to issues with absorption of those nutrients in the body. The related symptoms include tiredness, weakness, and poor immune function.
