Rid-AR Kid Syrup is an anti-allergic medicine which is used to treat allergic symptoms like runny nose, sneezing, itching, swelling, stuffy nose, and watery eyes. It is also used in the treatment of some common allergic conditions are hay fever, food allergies, and asthma.
This syrup contains a combination of two active ingredients, Levocetirizine and Montelukast. They act together to relieve allergic symptoms, making it easier to breathe.
It is generally prescribed to children facing any allergic condition. This syrup can be given either before or after food, preferably in the evening or as prescribed by the doctor. It is advisable to complete the prescribed dose even if the child starts feeling better to avoid the reappearance of symptoms.
Inform the doctor about any other ongoing medication before starting the treatment. Also inform the doctor about any other medical complication or disease such as heart issues, blood disorder, birth defects, issues with respiration, skin disease, liver impairment, and kidney malfunction.
Rid-AR Kid Syrup has a combination of two drugs namely, Levocetirizine and Montelukast. Levocetirizine works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger (histamine) which is responsible for allergic reactions like runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Montelukast blocks another messenger (leukotriene) which reduces swelling in the airways. Together they relieve allergic symptoms and aids respiration.
