It belongs to a group of medicines called antihistamines. The preparation is effective in treating seasonal allergic conjunctivitis (infection, redness, itching, and swelling of the eye) caused due to pollens, animal fur, dust, and other allergens.
The anti-allergic preparation blocks the action of histamine (a chemical messenger) which induces symptoms like redness, itchiness, and watery eyes.
- This medicine is used only externally.
- If the medicine ever gets into your nose, wash your eyes and mouth immediately with plenty of water.
- You have to follow the instructions given by the doctor, follow the dose and duration.
- Read the label carefully to know how to use.
- Place the dropper near your eyes and without touching any surface, inject the medicine directly into the eye.
- Press the dropper and inject the medicine into the lower eyelid.
- Wipe off excess liquid with a clean tissue.
- Do not terminate the use of drug without consulting a doctor; finish the complete course of treatment.
- Inform your doctor about all your medical ailments and medications.
- This medication should not be used if you have a known allergy to either of its components or to NSAIDs.
