How Pioglucored Forte Tablet works
This medicine is a combination of three antidiabetic medicines: Glibenclamide, Pioglitazone, and Metformin. These three drugs work by different mechanisms and collectively control the blood sugar level when no single or dual therapy could show any effect. Glibenclamide is a sulfonylurea which shows its activity by increasing the amount of insulin released from the pancreas and reducing the glucose level in the blood. Metformin is a biguanide, it reduces glucose production in the liver, delays glucose absorption from the intestine and makes the body sensitive to insulin. Pioglitazone is a thiazolidinedione that also increases insulin sensitivity.

Disease Explanation
Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a condition of high blood sugar level despite the production of sufficient amounts of insulin in your body. This happens because of insulin resistance, which means the cells become resistant to insulin and are not able to use it effectively. It can lead to symptoms like increased thirst, frequent urination, and fatigue.
