ALBENDAZOLE is a member of the 'anthelmintic' class of antiparasitic medications used to treat parasite worm illnesses such as neurocysticercosis (an infection brought on by the pig tapeworm) and cystic hydatid disease (an infection brought on by the dog tapeworm). Furthermore, illnesses brought on by flukes, roundworms, hookworms, threadworms, whipworms, pinworms, and other parasites are treated with ALBENDAZOLE.
The potential interactions between alcohol and Albendazole are unclear. Kindly speak with your physician.
If you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, avoid taking Albendazole since it may be harmful to the fetus. If you are concerned about this, kindly consult your physician.
Avoid breastfeeding while taking ALBENDAZOLE and for at least five days following therapy. If you are concerned about this, kindly consult your physician.
Patients with renal impairment could require dose adjustments. If you have kidney impairment or have any concerns about this, please see your physician.
For patients who have hepatic impairment, a dose change may be necessary. If you believe you may have a liver impairment or have any questions about this, please see your physician.
ALBENDAZOLE may make you feel lightheaded. If you're not paying attention, don't use machinery or drive.
Albendazole is used to treat worm-related illnesses. To cause the worm to run out of energy and perish, it prevents it from absorbing sugar, or glucose. This medication can only be obtained with a prescription from your physician.
Intestinal worms or helminths are other names for parasitic worms. They infect and feed on their hosts, causing illnesses and weakness. Intestinal worms often come in two varieties: flatworms like flukes and tapeworms, and roundworms. Ingestion of tainted water, food, or soil, contact with tainted excrement, inadequate sanitization, and inadequate hygiene practices can all lead to worm infections.
Vdworm is used for the treatment of infections caused by helminths (worms) like Enterobius vermicularis (pinworm/threadworm), Ascaris lumbricoides (roundworm), Ancylostoma duodenale and Necator americanus (hookworms), Trichuris trichiura (whipworm), Strongyloides stercoralis, animal hookworm larvae causing cutaneous larva migrans, and Opisthorchis viverrini (liver flukes) and Clonorchis sinensis. It is also indicated for the treatment of Hymenolepis nana and Taenia spp. (tapeworm) infections and has shown good activity against anaerobic protozoa like Giardia lamblia and Trichomonas vaginalis. Please consult your doctor before taking any treatment for worms as there could be many worms against which Vdworm would not be effective.
Vdworm is used for the treatment of pinworms (Enterobius vermicolaris). Vdworm is active against the larval and the adult stages. Consult your doctor before taking any medicines for worm infections.
Vdworm can be taken with fluconazole. No drug-drug interactions have been reported between the two. However, interactions can occur. Please consult your doctor before taking the two medicines together.

Vdworm works by killing the larva and the adult form of the worm by inhibiting tubulin polymerization which causes energy depletion and decreases the mobility of the worm and hence kills the helminth.
Vdworm is active against tapeworms like Hymenolepis nana and Taenia spp. Please consult your doctor before taking any medicine for these worm infestations.
Vdworm is safe if taken for prescribed duration in prescribed doses as advised by your doctor.
