This pharmaceutical preparation is made by combining Hydrochlorothiazide and Telmisartan. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that reduces sodium reabsorption in the kidneys by lowering blood pressure and leads to a reduction in blood volume by inhibiting the excretion of sodium and water. Telmisartan is an angiotensin 2 receptor blocker that lowers blood pressure by blocking angiotensin 2 receptors and prevents aldosterone secretion and vasoconstriction, which reduces blood volume by dilating vessels.
