This medicine may cause side effects like nausea, vomiting, dryness in mouth, constipation, and headache. Initially, this medicine may cause a sudden drop in blood pressure when you change positions, so its better to rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down. It causes a sudden onset of dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you.
Take caution while taking medicine if you are suffering from liver or kidney disease. Your doctor should also know about all other medicines you are taking as many of these may make this medicine less effective or change the way it works. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Tidomet Plus Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Levodopa and Carbidopa which treats Parkinsonism. Levodopa is a dopamine precursor which gets converted to dopamine, a chemical messenger that controls movement in the brain. Carbidopa is a peripheral decarboxylase inhibitor which prevents breakdown of levodopa allowing it to enter the brain and increase dopamine levels.
- Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tidomet Plus Tablet is to be taken empty stomach. Avoid Tidomet Plus Tablet with high protein meals such as cottage cheese, Swiss cheese, protein powder, eggs and milk.

Tidomet Plus Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
Tidomet Plus Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.<BR>Partial to complete suppression of lactation was seen in mothers on the treatment with Tidomet Plus Tablet, but when the treatment was stopped, lactation returned to normal levels.
