Consuming alcohol while taking Lupitum 500mg/62.5mg Injection may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heart beat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure (Disulfiram reaction).
Lupitum 500mg/62.5mg Injection is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby however, there are limited human studies.
Lupitum 500mg/62.5mg Injection is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
It is not known whether Lupitum 500mg/62.5mg Injection alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.

Lupitum 500mg/62.5mg Injection is a combination of two medicines: Cefoperazone and Tazobactum. Cefoperazone is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Tazobactum is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefoperazone against bacteria.
