How Gaviscon Suspension 150ml Works?

Calcium carbonate in combination with sodium bicarbonate comes in contact with acid present in the stomach lead to the release out carbon dioxide bubbles. Due to these bubbles; a protective barrier forms on top of the stomach contents, which does not allow stomach acid to flow back into the food pipe.
