Lacoset 200mg Injection is use to control and prevent epilepsy (seizures). It is used alone or in combination with other similar medicines and it controls seizures by decreasing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.
It slowly inactivates the sodium gated channels, which decreases the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain. Thereby, it controls seizures or fits.
It should not be self-administered at home. You should finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better and always consult your doctor before stopping this medicine as it may increase seizure frequency.
Please consult your doctor if these side effects do not resolve or persist for a longer duration.
Lacoset 200mg Injection should be used with caution in patients with liver disease.
Lacoset 200mg Injection should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease.
Caution is advised when consuming alcohol with Lacoset 200mg Injection. Please consult your doctor.
Lacoset 200mg Injection may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Lacoset 200mg Injection may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Lacoset 200mg Injection is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
