It is a preventive drug used to prevent diarrhea caused by rotavirus.
It contains weakened rotavirus, stimulating the immune system to produce antibodies. Antibodies protect against rotavirus infection, preventing diarrhea.
It should be administered orally as a 3-dose regimen, 4 weeks apart, starting at 6 weeks of age and can be given with or without food. Follow the prescribed dose and schedule advised by the doctor and stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids while taking the vaccine.
