Spegra 50/200/25 mg Tablet is a combination antiretroviral medication used in the treatment of Human Immunodeficiency Virus type 1 (HIV-1) infection. It contains three active ingredients: Dolutegravir (50 mg), Emtricitabine (200 mg), and Tenofovir Alafenamide (25 mg). This combination works synergistically to suppress the replication of HIV-1, thereby enhancing the immune system's function and reducing the risk of developing Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS).

Each component of Spegra Tablet plays a crucial role in inhibiting HIV replication: Dolutegravir: An integrase strand transfer inhibitor (INSTI) that blocks the HIV integrase enzyme, preventing the integration of viral DNA into the host cell genome. Emtricitabine: A nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI) that inhibits the reverse transcriptase enzyme, blocking the conversion of viral RNA into DNA. Tenofovir Alafenamide: Another NRTI that, once activated in the body, inhibits reverse transcriptase, thereby preventing viral replication. By targeting different stages of the HIV life cycle, Spegra Tablet effectively reduces the viral load in the body.
HIV/AIDS (Human Immunodeficiency Virus/Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome) HIV is a virus that attacks the immune system, specifically CD4+ T-cells, weakening the body's ability to fight infections and diseases. If left untreated, HIV can progress to AIDS, the most severe stage, where the immune system is significantly compromised. Spegra Tablet is part of Antiretroviral Therapy (ART), which helps suppress viral replication, preventing disease progression and improving quality of life.
Spegra 50/200/25 mg Tablet is a combination of Dolutegravir, Emtricitabine, and Tenofovir Alafenamide, used to treat HIV-1 infection. It works by preventing the virus from multiplying, reducing viral load, and strengthening the immune system. Taken once daily, it helps prevent the progression of HIV to AIDS when used consistently.
