How Valate 500 Tablet works

Sodium valproate increase the level of GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) in the brain. GABA is a neurotransmitter which assists to calm activity of nerve. By increasing the activity of GABA, Sodium valproate decrease occurrence of seizure and assists to stabilize mood swing in bipolar disorders.

Is it safe to take Valate for long term?

Many patients can safely take Valate for a long time. Rarely, long-term use of Valate may weaken your bones, thereby increasing their chances of breaking easily (osteoporosis and osteopenia). If you are taking Valate for a long time, get regular check ups done for bone health.

What happens if I stop taking Valate?
