4 Quin DF Eye Drop is a combination of two medicines: Moxifloxacin and Difluprednate. Moxifloxacin is an antibiotic which prevents bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing the bacteria. This treats your eye infection. Difluprednate is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen and itchy.
No, do not stop taking 4 Quin DF and complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cured.
Usually, 4 Quin DF starts working soon after applying it. However, it may take some days to kill all the harmful bacteria and make you feel better.
