This pharmaceutical formulation is a combination of medicines which is effective in the treatment of dry cough.
It can provide temporary relief from cough by reducing symptoms like throat irritation, runny nose, and sneezing.
It lowers the activity of cough centre present in the brain.
Consuming alcohol with it is unsafe.
Taking It during pregnancy might be unsafe. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby, consult your doctor for specific information.
There is no sufficient information available regarding the use of it during breastfeeding. Please consult your doctor.
It may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Avoid driving if these symptoms occur.
Exercise caution when using it in individuals with kidney disease. Adjustments to the dosage may be necessary, so it's important to seek advice from your doctor.
It should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of medicine may be required. Please consult your doctor.
This formulation has been prepared from the combination of three medicines: Guaifenesin, Chlorpheniramine Maleate and Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide. Guaifenesin is an expectorant that increase the volume of mucus, reduces its viscosity and facilitates clearance. Dextromethorphan hydrobromide is a cough suppressant that provides relief from cough by lowering the activity of the cough centre of the brain. Chlorpheniramine maleate inhibits histamine, which relieves allergy symptoms such as sneezing and itching.
You can take the missed dose if next dose is near than Skip the missed Dose.
Do not double up for the missed Dose.
If you miss dose frequently than consult your Doctor.
