Consuming alcohol while taking Amirid Tablet may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heart beat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure (Disulfiram reaction).

Amirid Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Amirid Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Amirid Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Diloxanide, tinidazole and simethicone. Diloxanide is a luminal amoebicide which acts inside the intestines to kill the infection-causing microorganisms (amoeba). Diloxanide is combined with tinidazole in case of severe intestinal infections. Tinidazole is an antibiotic which kills bacteria and other infectious microorganisms by damaging the DNA. Simethicone is an antifoaming medicine which disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas.
