Albendazole works against worms by sticking to a part called tubulin in the worms' bodies. It's like a lock and key – albendazole fits better into the worms' tubulin than that of humans, which is a good thing. However, sometimes this sticking action might cause problems, leading to side effects.
Parasitic worm infections involve the body being infested by worms such as roundworms, hookworms, tapeworms, and pinworms. These worms typically invade the gastrointestinal tract, but can also affect other areas of the body. Symptoms of these infections can include abdominal pain, diarrhea, weight loss, and anemia.
Bandy works by killing the larva and the adult form of the worm by inhibiting tubulin polymerization which causes energy depletion and decreases the mobility of the worm and hence kills the helminth.
Bandy is active against tapeworms like Hymenolepis nana and Taenia spp. Please consult your doctor before taking any medicine for these worm infestations.
Bandy can be taken with fluconazole. No drug-drug interactions have been reported between the two. However, interactions can occur. Please consult your doctor before taking the two medicines together.

It is also indicated for the treatment of Hymenolepis nana and Taenia spp. (tapeworm) infections and has shown good activity against anaerobic protozoa like Giardia lamblia and Trichomonas vaginalis. Please consult your doctor before taking any treatment for worms as there could be many worms against which Bandy would not be effective.
