AMAT 5MG/10MG tablet is the prescription medicine containing two active drugs effective in controlling high blood pressure along with high cholesterol levels in the blood. This medicine reduces blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels and easily pumps blood through the heart to reach the whole body. It is also responsible for reducing the risk of heart attack or stroke.
Consuming alcohol with it is unsafe.
Not recommended if you’re pregnant as it can cause harm to the fetus.
It is generally considered safe while you’re breastfeeding, consult your doctor for more specific information.
It may hamper attention and make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Avoid driving if these symptoms appear.
It is safe and it doesn’t cause any major harm to the kidneys. Adjustments to the dosage are not necessary, however it's important to seek advice from your doctor in case of severe kidney disease or for long term use.
It should be used cautiously in patients with pre-existing liver disease. Dose adjustment of medicine may be required. Please consult your doctor.
This is a combined pharmaceutical formulation containing Amlodipine and Atorvastatin which treat high blood pressure associated with high cholesterol levels. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that works by relaxing blood vessels, making the heart more efficient at pumping blood. Atorvastatin is a drug having lipid-lowering properties. It blocks an enzyme (HMG-CoA-reductase) essential to produce cholesterol in the body.
Use medicine as you remember to take. If next dose is approaching, skip the missed Dose. Do not double up for the compensation of missed Dose. If you miss dose frequently than consult your Doctor.
