Carefix CV 50mg/31.25mg Syrup is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby however, there are limited human studies.
Carefix CV 50mg/31.25mg Syrup is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
It is not known whether Carefix CV 50mg/31.25mg Syrup alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Carefix CV 50mg/31.25mg Syrup should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Carefix CV 50mg/31.25mg Syrup may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Carefix CV 50mg/31.25mg Syrup is a combination of two medicines: Cefixime and Potassium Clavulanate. Cefixime is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Potassium Clavulanate is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefixime against bacteria.
