What is Ciplex?

Ciplex is a combination of two medicines: Ciprofloxacin and Dexamethasone. It is used to treat bacterial infections of eye. Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria in the eye by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves. This treats your infection. Dexamethasone is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen and itchy.

Yes, Ciplex is safe for most of the patients. However, in some patients it may cause some unwanted common side effects like eye irritation, eye discomfort and other uncommon and rare side effects. Inform your doctor if you experience any persistent problem due to the medication.
