Clobkare Lotion 30ml

Introduction to Clobkare Lotion 30ml

Kayavate 0.05%w/v Lotion 30ml works as a topical treatment for different skin issues.

Prior to using the medication, make sure to cleanse and dry the troubled spot as per the instruction on the label. After the application, make sure your hands are cleaned unless your hands are the ones being treated. Follow the recommended dosage and period for optimal effects.

It's crucial to keep in mind the following advice:

Extended usage of clobetasol may cause the skin to thin or atrophy, notably in areas with less substantial skin, such as the visage and intertriginous zones (zones where one skin part meets another, like the armpits and groin). Avoid over use and limit the period of application to prevent this.

Topical corticosteroids like clobetasol can be absorbed systemically, notably when applied on wide body surfaces or under occlusive clothing. This could lead to more extensive side effects, so it's crucial to utilize the smallest efficient quantity for the shortest time.

Common adverse effects of clobetasol could include skin atrophy, telangiectasia (visible blood vessels), skin discomfort, and skin dryness. If you skip a dose, then apply it when you remember.

If not, just skip the missed application and proceed with your normal schedule. Try not to apply two doses at once and seek your physician's advice to handle missed doses effectively.

FAQ's on Clobkare Lotion 30ml

Can Clobkare be used for a long time?

No, Clobkare should not be used for a long time. The doctor generally prescribes it for 2 consecutive weeks only. However, the treatment can be longer for chronic (long-term) inflammatory conditions. Consult your physician before using this medication.

Does Clobkare cause severe skin reactions?

Severe skin reactions are quite rare with Clobkare. Clobkare is an anti-inflammatory drug which is used to treat skin diseases, skin reactions and eczemas. However, skin reactions can occur in a person who is hypersensitive to Clobkare. It is important to leave the affected area open after applying Clobkare as using occlusive dressings (air- and water-tight dressing) can lead to skin reactions. The medicine may not itself cause a reaction but the added excipients with the medications can lead to a reaction in some cases. Inform your doctor immediately in case you encounter any skin reactions.

Can Clobkare be applied in children?

Clobkare is not recommended for use in children less than 1 year of age. It is also not recommended for use in older children and adolescents as the side effects are more common in them. In the pediatric population, there is an increased risk of suppression of the immune system which may make the child prone to other diseases and atrophic changes, hence it is not recommended. Still, in some rare cases, the doctor may recommend this medicine, but the treatment is usually limited to 5 days and the therapy is reviewed weekly.

Can we use Clobkare in infections?

Clobkare is not an antimicrobial or antifungal agent. It is a steroid medication. It should not be used in infections as being a corticosteroid it suppresses the immune system and increases the risk of infections. Bacterial infections are prone to worsen if the infection is covered with a dressing after using Clobkare. In case the inflammatory lesions get infected or there is any spread of infection, consult your doctor immediately. The doctor will withdraw the use of Clobkare and provide appropriate antimicrobial therapy.

Can Clobkare be used on the face?

No, Clobkare should not be used on face. In addition to this, Clobkare should also not be used on the axillae (armpits), groin and if there is atrophy (wasting away of tissues) at the treatment site. In certain circumstances, it can be exceptionally considered to be used by the doctors. It should be used only after consultation with your physician and if possible, the application on face should be limited to a maximum of 5 days.

Can I stop taking Clobkare when my symptoms are relieved?

No, do not stop taking Clobkare and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before your treatment is complete. Stopping Clobkare before your treatment is completed can bring back your symptoms.
