Cofton Expectorant Syrup 100ml is a combination medication used to alleviate cough and related symptoms. The syrup reduces coughing and soothes the throat. It contains ingredients that help suppress the urge to cough and provide temporary relief from cough by reducing symptoms like throat irritation, runny nose, and sneezing.

It may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Avoid driving if these symptoms occur.

The main three active ingredients of this drug are Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Ammonium Chloride, and Sodium Citrate. Chlorpheniramine maleate inhibits histamine, which relieves allergy symptoms such as sneezing and itching. Ammonium chloride is an expectorant which clears cough by thinning the mucus present in the airway and makes respiration easier. Sodium citrate breaks down mucus and facilitates its removal from the respiratory tract.
Use medicine as you remember to take. If the next dose is upcoming, skip the missed Dose. Do not double up for the compensation of missed Doses. If you miss a dose frequently then consult your Doctor.
Cough refers to the increased production of mucus or phlegm in the airways, often caused by dust, smoke, infections, or cold.
