How Dothivin 50mg Tablet works

Dothivin 50mg Tablet increases the levels of noradrenaline and serotonin in the brain by blocking their reuptake, enhancing their effects in the synaptic cleft. It interacts with α2-adrenoceptors, promoting noradrenaline release for antidepressant effects. Dosulepin also binds to serotonin receptors, improving mood, and inhibits histamine receptors, causing sedation. The drug's metabolites exhibit similar actions. Additionally, dosulepin affects muscarinic acetylcholine receptors, leading to dry mouth. Overall, dosulepin's multi-target approach helps alleviate depression symptoms through various neurochemical mechanisms.

Yes. Dothivin is indicated for the treatment of nerve pain/neuropathic pain.
