Eslo-Tel may very rarely lead to erectile dysfunction (inability to gain or maintain an erection). Consult your doctor if you are worried or notice some changes. However, untreated hypertension (high blood pressure) itself can lead to erectile dysfunction, therefore it is important that you take your medicine regularly and keep track of your blood pressure.

What should I avoid while taking Eslo-Tel?

You should avoid potassium supplements or salt substitutes, unless advised by your doctor. Also, avoid alcohol consumption as doing so can further lower your blood pressure and may cause some side effects. In addition to that, avoid getting dehydrated, drink enough fluids during exercise and in hot weather. The medicine may make you dizzy so avoid driving, using machinery or doing anything that needs concentration unless you know how this medicine affects you.
