This formula is a mixture of three medicines which are Amoxicillin, Esomeprazole, and Clarithromycin. This combination treats stomach and intestinal ulcers caused by bacteria. Amoxicillin is an antibiotic that interferes with the protective covering formation of bacteria which is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body. Clarithromycin is an antibiotic that inhibits the growth of bacteria and prevents the synthesis of essential proteins that are essential for bacteria to perform vital functions. These two medicines act together to eradicate the infection from the body. Esomerazole is a proton pump inhibitor which reduces the amount of acid in the stomach and provides relief from heartburn and digestion caused by acid.
Peptic ulcer disease is a condition in which sores form on the lining of the stomach or the upper part of the small intestine. This happens because the acid present in the stomach damages the lining of the stomach and produces symptoms like stomach pain, bloating, and indigestion. It can be caused by an infection or long-term use of certain pain relievers.
