Use of Eyemist should be avoided in patients who are allergic to Eyemist or any of its components. However, if you are not aware of any allergy or if you are using Eyemist for the first time, consult your doctor.

Store at or below 25°C and out of the reach of children. Do not touch the tip of the container to any surface or eye(s), Replace the cap after every use. Remember not to use the eye drops after the expiry date or after 30 days of opening it.

You may experience visual disturbances and eye discharge while using this medicine. Some other side effects of this medicine include redness of the eye, eye irritation, burning and discomfort, eyelid swelling and itching of the eye. If any of these side effects bother you, please consult your doctor.

Eyemist Gel is an eye lubricant or artificial tears used to relieve dry eyes. This can happen because not enough tears are made to keep the eye lubricated. It helps to soothe the irritation and burning seen in dry eyes by maintaining proper lubrication of the eyes.

Hypromellose eye drops are also known as artificial tears. They are used to relieve eye dryness and soreness, particularly where the dryness is caused by a reduced flow of tears. They moisten, soothe and lubricate the surface of your eye, making it feel more comfortable.

Usually, drops may be used as often as needed. Ointments are usually used 1 to 2 times daily as needed. If using an ointment once a day, it may be best to use it at bedtime.

Eyemist belongs to a class of medicines called eye lubricants or artificial tears. It is available as eye drops. It is used to soothe irritation, burning and discomfort of dry eye conditions. One may experience such conditions because of deficient tear production, infrequent blinking, smoke, wind, pollution, extended use of computer screen or television, medical treatment or dry atmospheric conditions. Eyemist may also be used to aid insertion of lenses or to make the lenses more comfortable while wearing.

How Mist Eye Gel works. Mist Eye Gel is a lubricant. It works similar to natural tears and provides temporary relief from burning and discomfort due to dryness of the eye.

Like any medication, eyedrops must be taken as directed. And unless your doctor has instructed you to do so, eyedrops should not be taken on a daily basis for weeks at a time. Eyedrops are meant only as a temporary fix — not a long-term solution. In fact, overusing eyedrops can actually put your eye health at risk.

Eyemist is effective if used in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Do not stop taking it even if you see improvement in your condition. If you stop using Eyemist too early, the symptoms may return or worsen.

If you are using it for dry eyes, instil 1 or 2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed. If you are using it to lubricate soft and rigid gas-permeable lenses, apply 1 to 2 drops to each eye with the lenses on as needed or as directed by your doctor. Blink several times after pouring the drops. Consult your doctor if you are not sure.
