It is a combination of faropenem and clavulanic acid that is used for the treatment of various types of bacterial infections in the skin, throat, ear, nose, teeth, and lungs.

Faropenem inhibits the synthesis of bacterial cell wall by binding to penicillin-binding proteins, causing bacterial death after cell lysis and effectively treating infections. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that blocks the action of enzymes produced by bacteria to inactivate Faropenem.
