Fomel T Eye Drop is a combination of two medicines: Tobramycin and Fluorometholone. Tobramycin is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth in the eye by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Fluorometholone is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen and itchy.
Fomel T can make your eyes blurred for a short period of time. Avoid driving or operating machinery just after using Fomel T.
Keep this medicine in the container it came in, tightly closed. Store it as mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children, and other people.
Wash your hands before using Fomel T to avoid contamination, and do not touch the tip of a dropper. If you wear contact lenses, remove them before using the Fomel T. For using Fomel T tilt your head back, look up, and pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch and place a drop of this medicine in the pouch.
No, do not stop taking Fomel T and finish the full course of treatment. Your symptoms may improve and you may start to feel better before the infection is completely cleared. Take your medicine for the duration as advised by your doctor.
