It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Glucobay M50 Tablet.
Glucobay M50 Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby however, there are limited human studies.
Glucobay M50 Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Your ability to drive may be affected if your blood sugar is too low or too high. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Glucobay M50 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Glucobay M50 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.<BR>Use of Glucobay M50 Tablet is, however, not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. Regular monitoring of kidney function test is advisable while you are taking this medicine.
Glucobay M50 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Glucobay M50 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.<BR>Glucobay M50 Tablet is generally started with low dose in patients with mild to moderate liver disease and its use is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
Glucobay M50 Tablet is a combination of two antidiabetic medicines: Acarbose and metformin. Acarbose works by slowing down the breakdown of complex sugars into simpler sugars. This reduces the post-meal rise in blood sugar. Metformin lowers the production and absorption of sugar in your body and allows better use of existing insulin.
