This medicine is used for the treatment of eye infection like bacterial conjunctivitis. It belongs to the fluoroquinolone antibiotics. It can help in number of bacterial infections like urinary tract infection (UTIs).
Ciprofloxacin refers to the broad-spectrum water soluble fluroquinolone antibacterial drug. It can act on the bacterial topoisomerase II (DNA gyrase) including topoisomerase IV.
