Iganef 9mg Tablet CR belongs to a group of medicines called steroids. It is used to treat moderate to severe ulcerative colitis. It helps relieve pain and inflammation caused by the condition.
Iganef 9mg Tablet CR may be taken with or without food. Your doctor will decide the dose and how often you should take them. Take it regularly and at the same time each day for maximum benefits. The effect of this medicine may be noticeable only after a few days, so continue taking even until you finish the dose.
Before taking Iganef 9mg Tablet CR, you should tell your doctor if you have tuberculosis, any infections in your mouth or lungs, or liver disease. While taking it you may be more at risk of getting infections so stay away from people with colds and flu. If you use Iganef 9mg Tablet CR for a long time it may cause weak bones (osteoporosis) and damage to your eyes (glaucoma or cataracts). You might need tests for bone density and eye pressure. Ask your doctor whether it is safe to take this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
Iganef 9mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Iganef 9mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Iganef 9mg Tablet CR is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease as the data available in these patients is very limited.
Iganef 9mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Iganef 9mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Iganef 9mg Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive
Iganef 9mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
Iganef 9mg Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby
