Megaldrate is an antacid that reduces acid reflux by neutralizing stomach acid, providing relief from digestion, heartburn and gastric discomfort. Simethicone is an anti-foaming agent which provides relief from bloating and discomfort by breaking the gas bubbles present in the stomach and intestine and treats the problems of gas and bloating. Oxetacaine is a local anesthetic that provides quick relief from pain by numbing the lining of the stomach, relieves heartburn and acid indigestion by reducing sensations of pain and discomfort.
Overproduction of stomach acid, or hyperacidity, can cause discomfort and symptoms including heartburn and indigestion. Indigestion: A disorder marked by pain or discomfort in the stomach that is brought on by trouble breaking down meals. Gastritis: Inflammation of the lining of the stomach, resulting in pain, queasy feeling, and regurgitation. Open sores on the inside lining of the stomach and upper part of the small intestine are known as peptic ulcers.
