Koflinctus Syrup is combination medication which is used to alleviate cough and related symptoms. The syrup reduces coughing and soothes the throat. It contains ingredients that help suppress the urge to cough.

It is safe and it doesn’t cause any major harm to the kidneys. Adjustments to the dosage are not necessary, however it's important to seek advice from your doctor in case of severe kidney disease or for long term use.

The main four ingredients of this syrup are Ammonium chloride, chlorpheniramine, dextromethorphan and guaifenesin. Ammonium chloride and guaifenesin are expectorant which clears cough by thinning the mucus present in the airway and makes respiration easier. Chlorpheniramine relieves allergic symptoms such as sneezing, itching, and runny nose by blocking histamine receptors. Dextromethorphan acts as a cough suppressant that relieves coughing by diminishing the activity of cough center in the brain.
Use medicine as you remember to take. If the next dose is upcoming, skip the missed Dose. Do not double up for the compensation of missed Doses. If you miss a dose frequently then consult your Doctor.
