Create ABHAIntroduction to Lopeffy Capsule
It contains Loperamide, an antidiarrheal medication used to treat sudden diarrhea (including traveler's diarrhea). It works by slowing down the movement of the gut, which decreases the number of bowel movements and makes the stool less watery.
How Lopeffy Capsule works
Loperamide: Acts on the opioid receptors in the gut wall, reducing peristalsis (the wave-like muscle contractions that move food through the digestive tract) and increasing the absorption of fluids and electrolytes from the intestines. This results in firmer stools and less frequent bowel movements.
How To Use Lopeffy Capsule
- Dosage: Follow the dosage prescribed by your healthcare provider.
- Typically, for acute diarrhea, the initial dose for adults is 2 capsules (4mg), followed by 1 capsule (2mg) after each loose stool. Do not exceed 8 capsules (16mg) in a 24-hour period.
