It fights bacteria called mycobacteria, specifically mycobacterium avium complex (MAC), which are resistant to other antibiotics. It helps in controlling infections in people with weakened immune systems due to HIV.
Use the drug as prescribed by your doctor. It should be taken on an empty stomach. Take it at the same time daily for the best results. Complete the full course of treatment as stopping it early may lead to the return of the infection.
How To Use Macbutin Tablet
- Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Macbutin Tablet is to be taken empty stomach. Avoid Macbutin Tablet with acidic food and beverages such as sugar, certain dairy products, fish, processed foods, fresh meats and processed meats,sodas and other sweetened beverages.
