Mefsyl 500mg/500mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Ethamsylate and Mefenamic Acid. Ethamsylate is an antifibrinolytic. It works by preventing the breakdown of clots and controls excessive bleeding during menstruation (periods). Mefenamic Acid is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).
