It contains Acetylcysteine. Acetylcysteine is a mucolytic agent used to relieve respiratory conditions with thick mucus and as an antidote in paracetamol overdose.
Consuming alcohol with it does not cause any harmful side effects.
It is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
It is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
It does not usually affect your ability to drive.

Acetylcysteine works by breaking down and thinning mucus in the airways, making it easier to clear. In cases of paracetamol overdose, it replenishes glutathione levels to protect the liver from damage.
