Introduction to Natasol Eye Drop

Natasol Eye Drop is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid.

This medicine is generally well tolerated but it may cause some eye irritation that usually subsides on its own in some time. Please consult your doctor if it does not get better or persists for a longer duration.

How does Natasol work?

Natasol belongs to a class of medicines called tetraene polyene antibiotic. Natasol binds to the fungal cell wall, alters the permeability of the cell wall and causes depletion of the cellular contents thereby reducing growth and proliferation of fungi

Why Natasol does not affect bacteria?

The mechanism of action of Natasol is through binding of the molecule to the sterol moiety of the fungal cell membrane. Since bacterial cell wall doesnt contain sterol moiety, it doesnt affect bacteria.

Does Natasol cause cancer?
