This drug is an antidepressant that belongs to the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) group. These medicines are effective in treating mental conditions such as depression and anxiety-related conditions such as panic disorders and OCD. It helps to recover people from depression by relieving stress, tension, and anxiety; and improving mood.
Paroxetine is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor drug. This medicine increases the levels of serotonin in the brain. It provides relief from the physical symptoms of depression by improving mood and it also relieves the symptoms of anxiety, panic disorders, and OCD.
- It can be taken on an empty stomach or after having food.
- Follow the doctor's advise on dose and duration.
- Avoid altering the dose and do not terminate its use until your doctor advise you.
- Take the medicine regularly at the same time.
- Take it as a whole without chewing, crushing, and breaking it.
- Inform your doctor if you do not see any improvement in your condition even in 4 weeks.
- Let your doctor know if you are sufefring any other medical condition like glaucoma, epilepsy, heart problem, liver or kidney disease, or diabetes.
