Introduction to Pipzo 1.125 gm Injection

It is an intravenous injection combination of Tazobactam and Piperacillin and is used to treat different bacterial infections by preventing the growth of bacteria. 

Piperacillin is a penicillin antibiotic whereas Tazobactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor and enhances piperacillin's effectiveness.

Prolonged use in patient with liver impairment can cause Jaundice.

Patient With kidney function impairments, should use with caution.

Usually safe to use during pregnancy.

Safe to use during breast feeding.

How Pipzo 1.125 gm Injection works

Piperacillin is a penicillin group's antibiotic and inhibits the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall, causing bacterial death. Tazobactam inhibits the production of beta-lactamase enzymes by bacteria to resist antibiotics and enhance the activity of Piperacillin.

How To Use Pipzo 1.125 gm Injection

  • Strictly follow doctor's prescription and instructions.
  • Dosage and duration mainly depend on severity and type of infection as well as weight, age and kidney function of Patient.

Special Precautions About Pipzo 1.125 gm Injection

  • If patient has any allergic history, especially to cephalosporins, beta-lactam and penicillin antibiotics, they should inform their doctor.
  • In liver and Kidney patient, use this medicine with caution.
  • Drink more water to prevent kidney complications.
