Rosuwon 20mg Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called ‘Statins’. It is effective in lowering down the cholesterol level in the body and alleviates the risk of heart disease.
- Cholesterol is a fatty substance that accumulates in your blood vessels, causing them to narrow and potentially leading to a heart attack or stroke. Rosuvastatin inhibits an enzyme that your body needs to produce cholesterol.
- This medicine is prescribed widely by the healthcare professionals and is considered to be safe even when used in long run. You can take it at any time of the day but taking it at the same time will have more effect.
- Do not stop taking the medicine without consulting your doctor as it may pose the risk of heart disease and stroke.
- Regular monitoring of cholesterol level is crucial. While these medicines are often prescribed when your cholesterol can’t be controlled through diet and exercise alone, it never hurts to eat well and exercise more.
Rosuwon 20mg Tablet is a lipid-lowering medication (statin). It works by inhibiting an enzyme that your body needs to produce cholesterol, thereby lowering "bad" cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides and raising "good" cholesterol (HDL).

Cholesterol is found in all of our cells. Cells need it to keep their membranes just the right consistency. LDL, or low-density lipoprotein, is “bad cholesterol”. It carries cholesterol that can stick to arteries, collect in the vessel lining forming plaque, and sometimes block blood flow. HDL, or high-density lipoprotein, is “good cholesterol”. It takes cholesterol away from the blood and returns it to the liver.
