- It should be swallowed whole with water; do not chew, break, or crush it.
Special Precautions for Thiopress Tablet
- If you have an allergy to azathioprine or any other immunosuppressive medication, avoid using it.
- The long-term use of this medication may raise your risk of immune system (lymphoma) and blood malignancies, as well as skin and skin cancers.

It is advised that you abstain from drinking while using AZATHIOPRINE. Increased sleepiness and dizziness could result from it.
Since there are no clinical data on the use of AZATHIOPRINE in pregnant women, it is a Category D pregnancy medication that is not advised for use in pregnant women and should only be administered under the direct supervision of a physician.
It is not advised to take AZATHIOPRINE whilst nursing a baby. Arizonatiprinalin enters breast milk.
