This pharmaceutical preparation is made by combining Hydrochlorothiazide, Olmesartan medoxomil, and Amlodipine. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that reduces sodium reabsorption in the kidneys by lowering blood pressure and leads to a reduction in blood volume by inhibiting the excretion of sodium and water. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker and Olmesartan medoxomil works to block Angiotensin receptors that block the action of angiotensin II resulting in relaxation and widen the blood vessels.
