Introduction to Urisped D Tablet

This medicine is a pharmaceutical preparation which has been prepared by combining two medicines: Tamsulosin and Dutasteride. Tamsulosin is an alpha receptor blocking ingredient that relaxes the muscles present around the bladder exit and prostate gland and facilitates urine to pass easily. Dutasteride is a 5-alpha reductase enzyme inhibitor that reduces the levels of the hormone that causes the prostate gland to enlarge by shrinking the prostate gland.

This formula can be taken before or after having a meal but maintaining a consistent time is crucial. Following a doctor’s instructions is must about dose and duration of drug. One should avoid masticating, pulverizing, and shattering of drug.

Yes, the use of Urisped D can cause dizziness. Urisped D contains a combination of Tamsulosin and Dutasteride. Tamsulosin can cause a sudden fall in blood pressure while changing posture from lying to sitting or standing (orthostatic hypotension). This sudden fall in blood pressure can cause dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, sensation of spinning and vertigo. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, do not drive or use any machines. It is better to rest for some time and resume once you feel better.

What are the cautions associated with the use of Urisped D?

The use of Urisped D is considered to be harmful for men under the age of 18 years as it may affect the normal development of the male reproductive tract. The use of this medicine is also considered to be harmful for patients with any known allergy to any of the components of this medicine and in women who are pregnant or of childbearing potential.
