ACYCLOVIR is a member of a class of antiviral drugs used to treat viral infections, including genital herpes, a common sexually transmitted disease characterized by genital pain and sores, cold sores, an inflamed blister in or near the mouth, and herpes zoster, a viral infection that causes a painful rash.

How Vircrom 400mg Tablet works

Synthetic nucleoside analogs are a class of antiviral drugs that include acyclovir. It functions by preventing the herpes virus from spreading throughout the body. Acyclovir may not prevent genital herpes from spreading to other people and won't treat genital herpes.

What can happen if somebody takes more than the recommended dose of Vircrom accidentally?

Accidental, repeated overdoses of oral Vircrom over several days have resulted in nausea, vomiting, confusion and headache. Consult your doctor in case of overdose.
