Yelcef-D 200mg/500mg Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby however, there are limited human studies.
Yelcef-D 200mg/500mg Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
Yelcef-D 200mg/500mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Yelcef-D 200mg/500mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Yelcef-D 200mg/500mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.<BR>Dose adjustment is not recommended in patients with mild and moderate kidney disease.
There is limited information available on the use of Yelcef-D 200mg/500mg Tablet in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
Yelcef-D 200mg/500mg Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics: Cefpodoxime Proxetil and Dicloxacillin. These antibiotics work by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body. Together, they treat your infection effectively.
