Introduction to Zinkar Eye Drop

It is a combination drug with sulfacetamide (antibiotic), boric acid, zinc sulfate, phenylephrine, and naphazoline, making it a multi-component eye drop. It is used to treat eye conditions, including infections and relief from redness and discomfort.

The drug works by combining the antibacterial action of sulfacetamide with the soothing and decongestant effects of boric acid, zinc sulfate, phenylephrine, and naphazoline to address various eye issues.

Use it in dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor.

How Zinkar Eye Drop works

Zinkar Eye Drop is a combination of five medicines: Sulphacetamide/Sulfacetamide, Boric Acid, Zinc Sulfate, Phenylephrine and Naphazoline. Sulphacetamide/Sulfacetamide is an antibiotic. It stops bacteria from producing folic acid, a vitamin required for bacterial multiplication. Boric Acid and Zinc Sulfate are antiseptics which treat bacterial infection in the eye and relieve irritation. Phenylephrine and Naphazoline are decongestants which narrow the blood vessels in the eye, thereby reducing inflammation (redness and swelling).

How To Use Zinkar Eye Drop

  • This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use.
