Zopimin S 1mg Tablet should be taken on an empty stomach, preferably before going to bed. However, it is advised to take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor as it is habit forming. Do not stop taking it suddenly without talking to your doctor as it may worsen your symptoms.

Some common side effects of this medicine include headache, taste changes, dry mouth, rash, anxiety, respiratory tract infections or viral infections. However, these are temporary and resolve on their own after some time. It also causes dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you and do not take alcohol with it as it may worsen the dizziness. Yes, Zopimin S is safe to take if taken at the prescribed dose and for a short duration (less than 4 weeks). If the dose and duration is increased then risk of abuse and dependence on the medicine is more likely to occur.

Can I drive after taking Zopimin S?

Zopimin S can cause slowing of your normal brain function (central nervous system depression) which may adversely affect the ability to drive or to use machines. It can be very unsafe if a patient drives within 12 hours of taking Zopimin S.

Does Zopimin S have abuse potential?

Yes, Zopimin S does have abuse potential. The risk of abuse increases with the dose and duration of treatment and concomitant use of other psychoactive drugs. The risk is also greater for patients who have a history of alcohol or drug abuse or history of psychiatric disorders.

How long does it take for Zopimin S to work?

Zopimin S starts working shortly after you take it. The maximum levels of Zopimin S are reached within an hour of taking it. Taking Zopimin S may make you feel sleepy and sleepiness may persist for some time. This is the reason that you should prefer taking Zopimin S immediately before you go to bed, or after you have gone to bed but could not fall asleep. Moreover, take Zopimin S only if you know that you will be able to stay in bed for at least 7 to 8 hours after taking the medication.

Can I drink alcohol with Zopimin S?

Do not drink alcohol while you are taking Zopimin S. Alcohol can increase the effects of Zopimin S and make you sleep very deeply so that you do not breathe properly or have difficulty waking.

Does Zopimin S affect memory?

Memory impairment is rare, but may occur, especially when sleep is interrupted or there is a delay in going to bed after taking the tablet.
